When my husband and I stumbled upon the film "Once" at our the Chelsea, our local independent theater (why aren't there more independent theaters????), we just fell in love with it. For those of you who have seen it, you know what I'm talking about - it just washes over you. I had the concrete thought, "I am so enjoying this experience" float into my head several times throughout the movie. Imagine, escapism fare without one gun shot, car chase or overhyped love scene...

After my post about Senator Obama, I got an interesting phone call from my friend, client, and fellow photographer Katie Williams. It turns out that her mother, Hallie, has been following the blog since I photographed her grandchildren. She had the thought that she would love to see similar images of Senator Clinton. As a passionate supporter and friend of Hillary Clinton, she wanted to see how she could help me get the type of access I would need to achieve more personal i

I also had a fantastic opportunity to get some one on one time with the Senator, and I wanted to at least quickly show one of the portraits from our session. In my next post, I will share a lot more details about how these portraits came about - it's such a cool story...

I just spent a mind-blowing day photographing Barack Obama. I will be posting some seriously amazing images very soon, but what an unforgettable day. My husband Steve (a great photographer in his own right) and I drove down to Charlotte and received exclusive media opportunity to not only photograph him during his town hall meeting. We started in the press setup area. But since we are photographing a cover profile of him for the magazine, and up to 30 sister publications

I am pulling some photographs from our most recent trip to Bald Head Island in preparation for the top secret announcement that Lena Hyde, Laura Novak, Audrey Woulard and I are making *very soon* that has to do with the island ... ... and I stumbled across these melty sweet images of my two babies (and a cameo from our furry one).
